Country Manager for Spain and Portugal

Jose Núñez

Jose joined the Spanish office of Lloyd’s Europe in July 2020 to take over Lloyd’s Europe operation for Spain and Portugal. He brings more than 30 years of experience and a deep understanding of the Iberian (re)insurance markets, having worked in several management roles at Commercial Union, Gerling, Catlin Iberia and Asegrup. Jose has a Master’s Degree in Insurance Law by the Bar Association of Barcelona & PDG-lese – Executive Direction Programme Degree by IESE Business School. Jose is Chairman of ASASEL (The Association of Spanish Lloyd’s Coverholders) and the founder of Club Esportiu Trail Collserola (School of Trail Mountain Running)

We play an important role in the promotion and management of the Lloyd's brand in Europe providing support to Underwriters, Brokers and Coverholders to maximise their European business development opportunities and initiatives.
